Quilts, Quilts and more Quilts!
I was the happy recipient of 26 quilts recently from quilters in Maine, Florida and Massachusetts. See their lovely, handmade creations below.
This lead me to check out Rotaplast's website to look at the mission photographs and to see if I could locate any of my quilts in the photos of the children. Rotaplast medical teams and volunteers have been to two locations in Bangladesh, the Philippines, Egypt and Colombia already this year and treated hundreds of children with cleft palate corrections and burn surgeries. There are two missions to India this fall. Each of these adorable children received a quilt, handmade by YOU, to keep after their surgery. They are indeed "wrapped in a smile!"
Although I could not find any photo evidence of quilts I made in the photos, I did see a lot of quilts that I packed to send to Rotaplast. It is so exciting to know that something beautifully handmade that passed through my hands from yours is now in the hands of a child who received life changing surgery.
Thank you so much for all you do! Happy sewing!
