A quilting journey

One of the joys for me managing the Wrap-A-Smile project has been the pleasure of meeting new friends who are committed to making the world a better place - one stitch, one block, one finished quilt at a time.  I have found the quilters in our network, who come from a variety of backgrounds,  to be not only generous but creative and witty.  I often learn from them about life in general.  In today's blog I would like to introduce my friend Louise who keeps a smile on my face.  I know you will find her quilting story both fascinating and inspiring.  ~Ann Thank you for inviting me to share my journey, Ann! To all our valued quilters who help us wrap children in quilted love at the time of their facial surgeries: our inventory is getting low! I have recently learned that a few of our long-time quilters are no longer able to participate so I am eager to reach new quilters who will share in the joy of this project. Rotaplast has 12 missions scheduled this year, treating up to 100 patients per mission.  We want to make sure that every one of those patients has the comfort of a quilt and the goodwill of knowing that  someone, somewhere else in the world, cares about their wellbeing. There will be another Quiltathon at the Boothbay Harbor Rotary clubhouse March 30th, 9-4, open to the community.  RSVP appreciated to quilts7780@gmail.com Please help share the story of Wrap-A-Smile, and keep those quilts hugging the children. 💕
